Tellington TTouch is a specialized approach to the care and training of our animal companions. Developed more than 30 years ago by internationally recognized animal expert, Linda Tellington-Jones, this method based on cooperation and respect offers a positive approach to training, can improve performance and health and presents solutions to common behavioural and physical problems. It also helps establish a deeper rapport between humans and animals through increased understanding and more effective communication.
TTouch is a gentle and unique method of working with both health and behavioural problems in animals. These revolutionary techniques promote optimal performance and health without fear or force.
With its roots in the Feldenkrais method of Awareness Through Movement, TTouch techniques gently guide the animal through non-habitual exercises that can alter existing habitual patterns. As posture affects behaviour, many owners and guardians note that unwanted behaviour diminishes as the animals posture improves. TTouch teaches the animal to act, rather than simply re-act.
TTouch blends well with many other modalities and training methods. It is not necessary to adopt the whole TTouch philosophy in order to make a difference to an animal. Learning just a few of the simple body TTouches and movements can help make a difference to an animal’s life. It is used to support veterinary care, training and behaviour modification and has been proven to calm animals, restore confidence, release tension and accelerate healing.
TTOUCH is not a replacement for appropriate veterinary attention and should never be used as such. If you suspect that the animal in your care has a physical problem, please consult your vet.
